I've had my iphone 4s (first smartphone i've ever owned) for about 3 weeks now. Since i'm about one of the least graceful people in the world, the minute i started my phone up, i ran home to pick out a good case for it. I had heard a lot of good things about the Defender series, and though i considered it, i knew i wouldn't be happy with having such a bulky phone. That's why i decided to check out their other models. i considered the commuter, but i read a lot of reviews that people didn't feel protected enough with it. as far as not sacrificing sleekness and still getting a working amount of protection, the Reflex Series was a no-brainer. Since buying it, i have dropped my iphone from waist height on the concrete lab floor 3 times, and even once it slipped out of my swinging hand while running on the sidewalk. NO damage, even though it bounced several times and slid a ways. This case has paid for itself already as far as i'm concerned. Another thing is that this case isn't bulky in my hand, and because it is mostly hard plastic, it doesnt add too much weight to the phone. This is good because as a girl, i like to put my phone in the back pocket of my skinny jeans so i dont want to look like ive got butt pAdding or something. one last good thing to mention about it is that the case has a felt liner inside so it doesn't scratch your phone if you are constantly taking the case off and putting it back on. It slips on and off relatively easily despite its nice snug fit! And bonus, it comes with a nice durable screen protector.
That said, one con that i do have about it, and i have read other reviews with the same regret on the otterbox website, is that the cases are all designed for the black iphone, which means that the color scheme doesn't look as nice with my white one. but the protection offered more than makes up for it in my opinion.
Also i really dont consider it a con, but the case does not completely hug the phone at the bottom where the docking port is (there is a notch that holds the phone securely away frome the bottom of the case), so potentially dust could get in there. however , so far i have not had a problem, and it is obvious that the case has this space on purpose to provide added shock absorption.
lastly, and this could be a deal breaker for some but i doesnt bother me too much, but the headphone jack becomes inaccessible to anything other than the iphone headphones. Kind of annoying for using my phone to plug into my car, but i just use my ipod anyways.
overall, considering the pros and cons, i think this case easily earns a 4 star review, and the reassurance of protection that it brings means that i feel comfortable putting my trust in otterbox.

This is my 1st Amazon Review: I would just like to say that I purchased the white iPhone 4s and was going nuts for 3 days b/c i had no case on it (and i chose not to get applecare) and then the grey otterbox reflex shows up a day early from amazon and i slip it on... it fits nice and snug, doesn't make it a friggin boat like the original otterbox does AND the grey color compliments the white face pretty nice... it also gives a good amount of protection on the front of the phone too so you don't have to worry about cracking the screen... in the end: VERY good purchase! you won't be dissapointed =)

I did a ton of browsing and reviewing before I settled on the Reflex Series by Otterbox. This case is perfect for my new white iPhone 4s. I wanted something smaller and less expensive than the Defender series but I didn't want to lose the protection. Fits the 4s like a glove and has a pretty stylish look.
Pros:
-Fits 4s great.
-Feels very rugged.
-Easy to dock because it comes in two pieces.
-Perfect amount of grip.
-$20 not $40-$50.
Cons:
-The only thing I can think of would be you have to use a tiny bit more force to press the volume buttons. This is due to the nice rubber that protects the switches.

Been searching for cases for a loooong time now. Wanted a case that added a minimal amount to the size of the phone, but provided the most protection (opted out of applecare). I really didn't know this case existed even though i previously owned the defender series. Case is perfect. Only problem I have is that after applying the front screen protector it began to come off and bubble when I put the actual case on. This is likely due to how tight the case fits, but either way I've got bubbles on the screen and every time I take the bottom off to dock it and put it back on the screen cover gets damaged a little more.

This case is awesome! It fits great and protects the phone really well. I've dropped it on the concrete several times already. Phone is fine, case is fine! Otterbox has earned their reputation for a reason. They make the best cases!
