Otterbox Case Could Withstand a Chuck Norris Roundhouse! Nov 30, 2011
By One Heart Warrior I received my Otterbox case for my new Motorola Razr last week and I have to say I am very impressed. The case is a perfect fit. There are actually two cases: An inner hard shell plastic case and a rubberized outer cover that goes around the plastic one. Both fit great. It does make the phone bulkier, but since the phone is so slim to begin with, it makes it more like a normal phone.
My concern when order it was one of function - how well would the touchscreen work and how easy would it be to access to the power and volume keys. My fears have been allayed! Everything workless flawlessly! My other concern was for accessing the headphone jack and charging port. The case has a rubber flap that keeps debris from getting in the ports but is easily moved to get quick access to the ports.
Overall I am favorably impressed! This case is a must-have in my opinion, particularly if you are as rough on phones as I am.

Sturdy Nov 28, 2011
By Ashhousewares This case is durable, and easy to install. I have had three Otterbox defender cases before this one and they are the only cases I will buy. I work outdoors on the weather of the pacific northwest and this case stands up to the weather and abuse.

It's HUGE but it gets the job done. Dec 16, 2011
By J. Kaufman I almost bought the Casio G'zone Commando because I need a phone that can take a beating and handle the elements but I hated the idea of taking a step backwards when it came to phone performance (I previously owned a Droid X). In the end I decided on the RAZR after I learned about the phone's supposed durability (e.g., Gorilla Glass, Kevlar backing, nano-coating). And while the RAZR feels very sturdy out of the box, I decided to outfit it with an Otterbox just to be safe. Adding this case to your RAZR pretty well transforms what begins as a sleek and sexy smart phone into a full-on, bad ass, military-grade piece of equipment. It's not water-proof and you can't run over it with a truck tire (or can you?) but I'm confident it'll stand up to using it in the rain, 6 foot drops onto the ground, and getting banged around while it's in my pocket.
The RAZR fits PERFECTLY into the case and feels truly one with the phone once it's all buttoned up. The buttons all work well when it's on and the touch screen is still responsive. I only have a couple of complaints. One, the outer silicone/rubber case is a magnet for cat hair. Two, the screen protector muddles the screen's brilliance. As I write this review I'm strongly considering removing the screen protector all together as it's a bit overkill considering the phone already has Gorilla Glass.
If you value function over form than you should get this case. It still looks cool, don't get me wrong, but it's not something a diva's going to be into.

Good but bulky Nov 20, 2011

This case is very good quality, but almost defeats the purpose of buying the Razr. The Razr is a very thin and rugged phone out of the box. But the Otterbox does give that added layer of protection at the cost of bulking it up. That said it is of very high quality and has a good quality belt clip.

protects well but distorts the screen Dec 09, 2011
By JR this case took a small bit of effort to put on my phone. it adds a bit of bulk to the phone, though that's expected from this series of otterbox case. the real dealbreaker for me was that the screen protector distorted the screen to such a point where it was difficult to see the phone screen from all angles. for me, it was unusable so i returned the case and got the commuter series case.
the case also comes with a belt clip but the case is pretty big on its own, and attaching it to a beltclip seemed a bit much.
